Stop the hate!

A few nights ago after my last blog I received a couple of really nasty comments, saying some horrible things. Things that really upset me, deeply hurting my feelings. To think that someone would actually go to the lengths of creating an email address and a fake account just so they can abuse someone who’s already going through the worst period of his life. It’s not the first time and probably won’t be the last. It’s wrong on so many levels. Luckily I have plenty of support around me so was able to get past it but what if this person had said the same kind of stuff to another vulnerable person as was said to me? Someone who is maybe on their own, trying to reach out via a blog for some help and then gets comments like that. It’s enough to tip them over the edge and do something terrible. I’d say to these horrible fuckers to think about what they are going to say to someone before you post a comment. You could end up saying something that makes them want to end it but then again, these kind of people don’t give a toss about who they abuse. They show no remorse or care about the feelings of the person they want to abuse. It’s comments like that which is why a lot of people won’t open up and talk about their mental health problems. We need to put of a stop to this shit otherwise more will find life so hard that they really can only see one way out.

It’s taken me a couple of days to get over what was said to me and yesterday gave some serious thought as to whether I should continue to write my blog. I’ve decided I won’t let a couple of comments stop me from doing what I want to do. Thankfully the positive feedback I got from people has been lovely, even helped a couple of them too. I need to focus more on the positive ones and not give the negative comments a second thought. I’m not going to quit this blog just hey. If they don’t like it then don’t read it, I won’t ever force anyone to read something if they don’t want to.

Yesterday was a good day. My step daughter and some of the grandkids came over to see us. It’s always lovely to see them, they brighten up any room and always bring a smile to my face. It’s always so important to spend some quality time with family, they help take your mind off things, make you laugh and give you so much joy. Tonight we had a games night, just silly little games but always great fun, lots of laughter too. I need more nights like tonight as it really does help to take your mind off the negative thoughts rattling around inside you head. Stopped me from dwelling on events from the other night too.

Cherish every moment with your family, they really do help and support you so much and show you just how much they love you. Yesterday was a great day and helped me. There’s nothing quite like family, is there?

Thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown me, it really does mean a lot. 💚
